Sectors and Goals


When Beylikdüzü Organised Industrial Site is considered as a whole, following sectors look
İntensified:

•Furniture
•Food processing facilities
•By-industry branches

Current employment in the region is 15,000. Employment capacity is approx. 30,000. Firms in export are approx. 50% in the Bakircilar Site and 10% in other sites. Since the organisation is brand new, there is no social facility yet. But previously built mosque, Health-care clinic, profession training center, open sporting field etc.may be considered public facilities. There is an apprenticeship school in the region which is considered an educational establshment.


Below-ground works


Beylikdüzü Organised Industrial Site has finished below-ground works since all concerning Co-ops have already finished their own below-ground works. Below-ground works such as electricity, water, telephone, sanitary piping, purification facility and roads are finished.


Short and Mid Term Goals


Nejat Atılgan, Manager of Istanbul Beylikdüzü Organised Industrial Region, summarises short and mid-term goals as follows:

•To make building and certification applications in accordance with regulations and to bring a certain discipline by necessary changes.
•Carry out repair works and lighting of environment and roads collectively without andoutside help.
•To procure electrical energy from TEDAŞ but we are to operate, do repair and maintenance, control and invoice works to be sold to our members, if necessary to buy from another source or to erect an auto-prductive central.
•To procure water from ISKI but we are to operate, do repair and maintenance, control and invoice work to be sold to our members, to open wells if necessary or to buy from other sources.
•Present purification systems are to be completed, scrap to be collected, sorted and purified without causing environmental damage and to finalize our litter problem with the municipality.
•To form a common fire, earthquake and safety organization.
•To achieve integration of all of our members to enable them to work more efficiently and to occupy their idle capacity.
•To form an info bank checking out encouragements and conveniences to enable our members to facilitate.
•To form a KOSGEB centre in the region, to enable them to get quality certificates such as ISO and CE, if necessary.
•To enable our member to participate in foreign expositions, fairs, travels with moderate fees.
•To co-operate wih establshments such as universities, TUBITAK and TSE to enlargen knowledge and technology of our members.
•Generally, to present our industrialists and our region to other establshments and to join upper organisations.
•To develop the aprenticeship school in our region and establsh a profession school.
•To build a medical center, a cafeteria, recreational parks, sport centres and fields, day-care center, to form regional teams and to operate them for our employees.
•To achieve oto-governing authority as Organised Industrial Region and to expand.
